Weiwei Xu
 

Dr. Weiwei Xu is Associate Professor at the College of International Studies, Southwest University, China. She received her BA in English from Southwest China Normal University in 2005. She earned her MA in English from Newcastle University in 2006 and her PhD in English from Macquarie University in 2013. She has more than twelve years’ teaching experience, and her research interests include cultural studies and postcolonial literature. Dr. Xu has produced over ten peer-reviewed journal papers and undertaken four research projects and grants.

His essays on Naipaul and related topics have also appeared in such journals as Representations, NOVEL: A Forum on Fiction, Modern Fiction Studies, New Literary History, Modern Language Quarterly, boundary 2, and Victorian Studies. He is presently working on a book that explores the forms of historical reflection at work in postcolonial novels from Asia and Africa.
